There will be lots of days out at sea, exploring caves, eating the best food and visiting amazing beaches filled with white, pink, black and red sand. We couldn’t let the trip finish off without a proper visit to Athens to see the Acropolis and Parthenon.
Come join us as we learn all about the history, beauty and culture of this bucket list remarkable destination!
DAY 1: Arrival
Welcome to Greece!
Upon arrival at Athens airport, you will be met by your local guide and transfer to your hotel in the city center. After check-in, enjoy free time at your leisure before a welcome group dinner at a nearby restaurant. (We recommend that you plan to land in Athens before 4PM.)

We’ll stop at Gramvousa where you can enjoy a swim or walk up to the Venetian castle before making it to Balos Lagoon, listed as one of the best beaches in the world!
Elafonisi is a small island surrounded by shallow lagoons, crystal blue waters and pinkish sands. On the boat, we’ll pass by the impressive cave of Saint Sofia – complete with stalagmites and a church’ and picturesque mountain villages before reaching the wild, southwestern side of Crete.
Hiking Samaria gorge is one of Crete’s highlights! Located in the White Mountains, it is the longest trekking gorge in Europe. The walk takes 6 hours on average. After our hike, we’ll catch a water taxi back to our bus and we’ll be transferred back to the hotel for dinner.

Time to say hello to our next destination, the volcanic island of Santorini! Upon arrival, we will enjoy a superb wine tasting experience in one of Santorini’s signature wineries. OUR FAVORITE HOTELS
These are all places that we have stayed at ourselves. We have chosen them for cleanliness, convenience and comfort.
ELIA PALAZZO HOTEL
Elia Palazzo is a cozy 3-star hotel that has a lot of charm and in the best locations just a few minutes from the harbor and from all the main attractions of the city. We love this hotel because vehicles are not allowed in the Old Town, so you are free to wander the cobblestone streets at your leisure, the hospitality is amazing and the beds are really comfortable.
Santorini Hotels are always a favorite part of a trip to Santorini and it is very hard to choose which hotels are the best as they all offer something similar and unique at the same time. We are subject to availability but either hotel we confirm, will have views of the caldera, beautiful all white rooms, views that are unbeatable and perfect for the Instagram photo we have all been waiting for.
Aeolis Hotel feels like it’s far away from the hustle and bustle of Adamas but is still just a 5 minute journey to town. We find the rooms to be clean, comfortable and perfect for a night’s sleep after our very long days out at sea. We love this hotel because of the colorful decor and as always the Greek hospitality here cannot be beat.
