ABOUT THE TRIP
Jordan, this small country seems to have a Remarkable Place you’ll run into every 2 hours. Surely, you’ve seen photos of Petra plastered all over the internet and of course we’re making a pit stop there to see it up close and in all it’s glory – however there’s a few other places that we wanted to highlight and show off!
Come with us to walk the streets of ancient cities, explore deserts so empty and full of life at the same time, stay in a bubble hotel, float in the saltiest of waters and hike and wade our way through water filled canyons. We’ve got a lot on our itinerary in just a few days but with the amazing company you’ll meet, it’ll be one of the best times of your life! Don’t miss out on this little gem of a country!
DAY 1: Arrival
Ya Halla to Jordan!
Welcome to Jordan! Once you land at the Amman airport, you will be met by one of our tour guides and brought to the hotel. Get some rest before our Remarkable Places dinner where we all get to meet each other and prepare for our upcoming week of adventure and desert exploring!
Today, we are going to learn a little bit about Jordan’s history and go to one our favorite historical sites, Jersash also known as Gerasa in ancient times. Buried for centuries under blown sand, Jerash is the only city of the Decapolis to have survived. After a good look around, we’ll start our journey towards Petra!
Wonder of the World
Wake up in Petra, the so-called rose-red city. Petra was hidden for centuries until 1812. We’ll see this wonder of the world up close and personal and learn all of the history behind this ancient city. The majority of our day will be spent exploring this huge city but at night, we’ll get to experience Petra by candlelight!
After yesterday’s long day exploring Petra, today will be more of a leisurely pace. There are a few walks and hikes that are optional that will allow us to get a different perspective of this beautiful city.
Welcome to 'Mars'!
Wadi Rum feels like you’re in an otherworldly place. We’ll be taking a 2-hour 4×4 jeep ride to explore some of the highlights, sample Bedouin tea and watch the the sunset. After, its time to head back to camp and enjoy Bedouin hospitality and dinner
Leaving Wadi Rum desert behind we will head to the Dead Sea which is one of the most fascinating places on earth. Free time to float around, snap pics and try the Dead Sea mud that is said to have healing properties. We’ll all jump in the hotel pool after!
After breakfast, we’re off to Wadi Al Mujib to hike through “Siq Trail” and follow the course of the river. Depending on seasonal rainfall levels, the gorge may contain pools deep enough for swimming!
DAY 8: Departure
Bye Bye Jordan!
We hate to see you go! After early breakfast, we’ll say our goodbyes as we’ve reached the end of our experience. You will be transferred to the Amman airport once its time for your departure.
OUR FAVORITE HOTELS
These are all places that we have stayed at ourselves. We have chosen them for cleanliness, convenience and comfort.
AMMAN WEST HOTEL
Amman West Hotel is a cozy and clean 3 star hotel in the heart of Amman. It’s comfortable beds will allow us all to get a good night’s rest after our long flights into Jordan. We love this place because they know how to do breakfast and it’s the perfect starting point into our trip.
PETRA PANORAMA HOTEL
Petra Panorama hotel is the perfect place to rest after two long days of exploring the ancient city of Petra. We love this hotel because it’s simple and clean with a beautiful pool and amazing views.
WADI RUM BUBBLE LUXOTEL
With all of the new bubble hotels popping up in the deserts of Jordan, we knew we had to stay in one. Wadi Rum Bubble Luxotel is nothing short of Remarkable. Set right in the center of absolutely nowhere, being able to see the millions of stars right from your bed is definitely an experience you’ll never forget. We love this hotel for their hospitality and their Beaudoin dinner experience and must we mention again — we’ll be sleeping a bubble!
HOLIDAY INN DEAD SEA HOTEL
We’ve all heard about the Holiday Inn and have probably stayed there but have you ever stayed at one minutes away from the Dead Sea? Well, now you can say you have! What we love about this hotel is the close proximity to the sea, the incredible pool, and the modern day amenities that we previously may not have had in some of the other desert hotels on this trip.
