ABOUT THE TRIP
Turkey, a modern metropolis that the Greeks, Romans, Byzantines and Ottomans have all called home. Fun fact: Ottomans were the first to introduce tulips to the world! Turkey is a country known for its history, culture, art and otherworldly landscapes. And lucky for us – it is home to a plethora of Remarkable Places.
With Istanbul being the only city in the world located on two continents, Europe and Asia, our first Turkish Experience will have us hit hot spots in the city before heading on a route we’ve laid out to explore as many Remarkable Places as possible. We’ll soak up all of the healing properties Pammukale and Cleopatra Pools have to offer, take a boat out to sea and visit the beautiful island of Suluada for a day, and ride ATV’s throughout Cappadochia taking in some of the most breathtaking views you’ll ever see.
There is an optional extension add-on to the trip for those who want more! We’ll be heading to the other side of the country and visiting one of the most beautiful beaches in the world – Oludeniz. Whether you’re in it for shorter or longer haul – we guarantee you’ll have an amazing time, we’ll absolutely make sure of it!

ITINERARY
DAY 1: Arrival
Welcome to Turkey!

Welcome to Istanbul! You will be welcomed at the airport and transferred to your hotel for you to settle in. There is an optional afternoon walk with your guide to discover the area and hop on a ferry for a cruise down the Bosphorus to enjoy the views of both Asia and European sides of Istanbul!
DAY 2
Istanbul Highlights

Our Istanbul tour starts early with a dose of awe at Justinian the Great’s Hagia Sophia, Sultan Ahmet I’s Blue Mosque and the ancient Hippodrome. After lunch, Topkapi Palace is our next destination before checking into the hotel to relax before our family style dinner – Turkish style!
DAY 3
Exploring like a local

Get ready to seek out treasures at the famed Grand Bazaar, with over 3,000 shops to explore. Meet a few locals, taste Turkish coffee, and shop til we drop. After, prepare for a fun day of exploring Suleymaniye Mosque, Balat, Beyoglu, Taksim, Galata, and Karakoy. The Galata Bridge takes us back to our hotel for dinner.
DAY 4
Travel Day

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning. You can hang out by the pool, take a stroll around town, or do as you wish until lunch time. Right after lunch – we will be transferred to the airport for our flight to Denizli. Upon arrival in Denizli, we’ll be transferred to our hotel in the Pamukkale region.
DAY 5
Pammukale, Bucket List Check!

This morning, we drive to the magical and might we say, ‘Remarkable’ phenomenon that was created over hundreds of years. Hot springs that are said to have healing properties – so bring your swimsuit! After a quick dip and lots of photos – we head to the extensive ruins of Hierapolis to enjoy the Cleopatra pools.
DAY 6
Salda Lake

We’re leaving Pamukkale behind today to a gem along the Mediterranean, Antalya. On the way, we will stop by for a visit at another Remarkable Place, Salda Lake. The lake of Salda is a crater lake with white sand and glassy turquoise water. After spending some time here, our journey continues.
DAY 7
The Maldives of Turkey!

Beach Day! And not just any beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in all of Turkey. We’ll be driving to Adrasan to hop on a ferry and go to Suluada. You’ll spend the day at this incredible beach and spend all day in the sun! We can’t wait to hang out with you all in the crystal clear waters!
DAY 8
Cappadochia, here we come!

Today is the day we’ve probably all been waiting for. After breakfast, we will catch a flight to Kayseri. Upon arrival, we’ll be on our way to the Cappadocia region and check in to our cave hotel. First up, riding ATV’s through the stunning landscapes – we believe this is the best way to explore our first day in Cappadochia
DAY 9
Underground City Fun

We’re starting today with Kaymakli Underground City. The people of Kaymakli village have constructed their houses around nearly one hundred tunnels of the underground city and it is such an incredible site to see. In the afternoon, we’ll head out for a walk in the valley to catch the sunset right before catching dinner.
DAY 10
Cappadochia Highlights

In the morning, we’re going to view the otherwordley views of Cappadochia from a different perspective – a hot air balloon. Come afternoon, we visit the Goreme Open Air Museum, Pasabag, Zelve Valley and Uchisar Castle with its magnificent panorama of the surrounding areas. A magical way to end our stay!
DAY 11: Departure
Til' Next Time Turkey!

It’s about time to say goodbye! Today we’ll be transferred to the airport for our flight back to Istanbul. Our tour will come to an end upon arrival at Istanbul Airport, but don’t worry we hope to see you again on another Remarkable Experience soon! (Optional extension tour to Oludeniz is available – see below)
OUR ACCOMODATIONS
These are all places that we have stayed at ourselves. We have chosen them for cleanliness, convenience and comfort.

LEGACY OTTOMAN HOTEL
In the heart of the City of Istanbul, we will stay at the Legacy Ottoman Hotel, an inviting Sirkeci styled hotel located on Fourth Vakif Han. It was originally used as an official building until it converted to a Hotel in 2006. With easy access to local historic sites including the Basilica Cistern and two Bazaars, The Spice Bazaar and the Grand Bazaar, as well as views of the Galata Bridge with cultural and international culinary options and entertainment at your fingertips – we are sure to be gratified.
LADIK HOTEL
This little modern hotel will be our home away from home as we explore the Pamukkale region. With only 23 spacious rooms, great breakfast and super-friendly staff, it is sure to make us feel like family. It is one of a select few hotels approved by the Ministry of Health for its world-famous thermal center in Karahayit. Pamukkale is one of Turkeys top tourist locations with travertine formations and healing powers of its own naturally thermal Pamuksu waters believed to have mysterious health and beauty benefits!

DOGAN HOTEL
We’ll mostly be out at sea during our stay in Antalya, but the Dogan Hotel, made up of 4 restored stone houses, is a little quaint and rustic retreat in itself. We love this hotel because of it’s little town charm and the delicious breakfasts they serve in the mornings. Cozier in size than some of the others but with all the amenities we’ll need to make it a perfect stay.
GOREME KAYA HOTEL
This a little gem of a hotel is in the heart of Goreme Valley, with some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. We love this hotel that is carved into rock and houses stone and cave rooms, with views of the Taurus Mountains and the infamous hot air balloons in the early morning sky early and the breakfast is unbelievably good!
